Loons.

When you see one on the lake, please stay clear. They will breed here only if they are undisturbed and wake action on the island is kept to a minimum.

Snapping Turtles. They also like to cross the road, so if you see a lump in the road, try to miss it.

Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Perch, Bluegill in the lake.

Trout in the Little Manistee a mile down the road.

And the occasional ice fisherman
