Unfortunately, all of the map searches have a mile and a half error when given our address. This results in sending you on a workable but complicated path to a spot south of us. You can fool the searches by asking for; "Haper Lake Rd. and Granger Rd., Irons, MI 49644". This will show you a point about 200 yds north of us on North Granger Rd. However, the directions will still be screwy. (BTW: Their is no Haper Lake Rd., but all of the map systems work off the same erroneous data base.)

I know this works with Google Maps and I think it works the same with all of them.

From Grand Rapids: Take 131 North to US 10. Go West to Baldwin. Turn Right on M-37. Go 17 miles to 10 Mile Rd. There is a sign pointing to Irons, a white light over the intersection, and a campground called "Hawg Heaven" on the northwest corner. Turn left.

Follow the jog to the right and left that puts you on 10 1/2 Mile Rd. (It's easy, just stay on the pavement). 10 1/2 Mile Rd. goes through Irons. (Don't blink!) 8 miles from M37, you will come to N. Granger Rd. on your left. Take the left. Go one mile. Voila!

From Traverse City: Take M-37 South to 10 Mile Rd. (about 6.5 South of M-55). Turn left on 10 Mile Rd. Follow the directions above.

From Ludington: Take 31 North to Freesoil Rd. (AKA 8 mile Rd.) Go through Freesoil (Don't violate the 25mph limit in town and don't fail to stop at the railroad tracks.). Go 15 miles from M-31 to Bass Lake Rd. (First stop sign after Freesoil). Left on Bass Lake Rd. for about three miles to 10 1/2 Mile Rd. (You'll see the K&K Market and Marathon Gas Station on your left.) Turn right about 200 yds to N. Granger Rd. Turn right and go one mile to the resort.

We'll leave the light on for you.
